Airline security: Many, many years ago the New York to Miami flight used to get hijacked about once a week. A
snubby in 38 Special was jokingly called "ticket to Cuba"! Big-time remedy! Security checks! It did work more or less.
The security guidelines of those days were in effect on 911 and now they have been even improved upon! At least, that is
what the government tells us to believe. I am certainly not a true believer, but I can be convinced by hard evidence. My
recent flight to the US did prove a few things! The security is as good or as bad as it was prior to 911! The people at the
gates have no idea of what can be used as an improvised weapon. Had they ever been in jail, they would know a lot more
about these things! On my flight a nice chap sat next to me with his expensive array of CARBON FIBRE rods. Now that
makes a nice lance!! After going through the excersices at the gate the passenger is "clean", and then he enters a "secure
area". Who works in these areas?? In Germany it is a lot of Arabs! But other people working in these areas can just as
well furnish a "clean" passenger with a lot of nasty things! Order a steak at one of the places in the secure area, you must
eat it with a plastic knife and a plastic fork. Order the "soup of the day" and you receive a nice stainless steel SPOON!
Any jailer can tell you how deadly a spoon is as a weapon! Pinching the spoon and putting a nice edge on the end ist
simple, and that thing will stab straight through a protective vest!. A bottle of booze from the shop, is there booze in it or
some nice explosive jelly?? Who put it there? Carton of cigarettes.... has an accomplice substituted the tobacco .....? The
possibilities are endless.

I usually do not write about possible loopholes in security, it might give people some ideas. I had discussed the possibility
of a terrorist crashing a 747 into a building or a nuclear power plant and loh and behold, it happened. It can still happen.

Results of Uncle Sam's war on terrorism. The Afghanis are happily extorting each other again. Their main export routes
have been improved and they are exporting more dope than ever befor. Or do you think they grow poppies because these
guys are fond of flowers? As Europe and Russia are the main market, Uncle Sam does not seem to care. Even our own
European politicians are funding these dope sellers.SOLUTION? Some of us are aware of the fact, that most of the Talibani simply
boarded a plane in Pakistan and flew to Mekka, declaring themselves "pilgrims". Now they are neatly protected in the Holy city. Just one nuke
would have taken out the lot and that might even get the attention of the Saudi rulers. Not civilized, but effective.

NEW WAYS OF IMMIGRATION TO AMERICA?

The first Talibani are in Guantanamo! From there they will probably be imported to the USA by the Government. Maybe they will
have to stand trial and some judge will determine, that they are not just no good, but only suffer from social deficits. (these can be
cured by delivering one ounce of shot!) When they are released, these b......s will then roam your streets! It would be a violation of
human rights to send them back! They should have been left in Afghanistan, cold and hungry, to be dealt with by their own kind.
Those with money buy their way out, the poor ones are left to rot. In Afghanistan you can get first hand experience of the true form of capitalism.

America is once again fighting for peace!
Terrorism?? The definition seems to be strictly American.
When some dirty Arab drops a bomb, it is terrorism.
When Uncle Sam does the very same, it is called collateral damage!
Ground Troops: Lots of Luck in Afghanistan!
Alexander the Great's army lost its impetus after passing through.
The islamic conquest of the East got stopped there. Ali is burried there!
Timur Lenk (Tamar Lane), who conquered the greatest mass of the earth ever!, disappeared
there with the core of the Golden Horde.
The British tried 3 times and even managed something of a retreat on the third try.
The Russians fared slightly better, but they came in second place!

Siemens, a reasonably well known German company, once had a subsidiary called
NUCHEM! Please pronounce it aloud! They still maintain, that they never understood the
reaction of english speaking people.

US Presidential elections 2000
I am deeply dissappointed by the apparent lack of courage in the US Armed Forces.
Everywhere in the world, where they can be sure never to encounter armed resistance, the
US Forces are usually the  vanguard of freedom, ensuring the freedom of the people and
their rulers. In their very own country they fail to heed the call.
Only a "JUNTA" formed by high ranking US Generals can possibly solve the electoral
mess!
The total apathy on the part of the American people is surprising.
In civilized countries any vote not conforming to very strict formal standards is null and
void. Any attempt to "interpret the intent of the voter" is a blatant form of manipulation.
If people cannot read their forms, that very fact should disqualify them from voting
alltogether. How about a basic literacy test for voters in Florida??

MURPHY: We all know Muphy's Law: Anything ,that can go wrong, will go wrong. (actually this dictum is
called Finnegan's Law!)
This man must have been an incurable optimist, completely out of touch with reality.
As realists we all know, that things, that can go wrong, allways go wrong at the most inappropriate moments, .....so
what!
Yet, as realists, we engineers have also come to accept, that things that are normally, under the most severe
conditions of testing, considered to be absolutely soldier proof, bullet proof, government proof, idiot proof and on
top of that, environmentally correct, consumer friendly and consumer proof!! will go wrong for no apparent reason.

IPSC: The "TOY_BOYS" are at it again.  Many, many years ago the Powerfactor for
"major" calbre was lowered from 185 to 175.
Not much, but we should have stood firm, just to keep from breaching the until then virgin
principles of IPSC. IPSC was never meant to be a "sport" and the 185 figure was a good
one. A GI 45 ACP Hardball. A socially relevant calibre!
Once the virgin principles were breached, so what! Along came starwars toys - just
immagine carrying! a "race gun". The next big leap forward (sounds familiar to you
Chinese?) was to think about introducing "Practical 22lr". Sorry, I know of only one truely
practical 22lr and that is a VOERE 180, also called the "All American".
Now, we will see another quantum leap in the development of pistolcraft, if the
"TOY-BOYS" get their way:
           Dropping the power level for "major" to 160 points.
The reason for this probably is a nice little greasing job from manufacturers of shoddy
pistols, like Tangfoglio et alii. Their guns will simply fall apart when fed socially relevant
ammunition.

One of the basic ideas of the Founding Fathers of the IPSC was to offer a platform for the
improvement of weapons design. The reasoning being, that a good pistol should be capable
of competing against designs that were almost a century old.
Modern engineers have not covered themselves with glory in this respect; all designs or
so-called "improvements" after 1911 more or less failed in IPSC competition.

Instead of forcing manufacturers to build something, that works and stays in one piece, we
should now joyfully lower the power factor, so lousy, shoddy clunkers may have a chance
of competing. It does not sound good and probably someone is getting a nice payment for
this "solution".

Bosnia/Kroatia/Serbia: There we have a nice mess! For those of you, who are a bit weak
on their history, let me tell you, that from the early Middle Ages this lot has been
TROUBLE and will be for a long time to come.
Muslims simply refuse to live in peace with other religions! The prophet insists, that a good
muslim should convert anyone he meets. After the Battle on the "Amselfeld"   ( yes, it is
long ago) my ancestors, together with the others, failed to follow through and left some
survivers, i.e. they left some unfinished business!
Can anyone give me a reason, why all do-gooders are supporting the muslim
Albanians? Not even my dirty mind, functioning on the very peak of its form, can think
of a reason. There is no oil, it is not the country of Coca Cola, no uranium, no dope, no
hope, so why bother!
Info on the true motives for any involvment there is very welcome, indeed!

One possible reason offered: The amount of dudds suggests, that Uncle Sam just got stuck
with a heap of ordnance the shelflife of wich having expired. It was cheaper to dump them
on the Balcan and make the Europeans pay for it, than to have them scrapped
environmetally correctly.
 

BIG BUCKS: The US Government offers $ 5,000,000 in reward for the apprehension of
war criminals in the Balkan.
My suggestion: Don't look too far!

REASON FOR WAR CRIMES IN THE BALKAN?:
The enormous amount of duds being found in Kosovo suggests, that a great portion of the ordnance dropped there had
certainly passed its "shelf life".
I was cheaper to dump them, than to scrap them in an environmentally correct manner.

ULSTER (some people call it Northern Ireland)
Her Majesties Government is begging a bunch of cutthroat, dope peddling bums to hand in their weapons!
I have a suggestion! Instead of pleading like a beggar, HMS Government could, just for once, try to enforced the
LAW!
In the (catholic) Republic of Ireland the law abiding citizen cannot own any firearm. Period.
In Ulster the situation is absolutely the same.
DON'T BEG! as beggars are in a weak position. This may be news to politicans, but anyone, who has not spent his life living fat on
taxpayers money, can confirm the above statement.

MONEY TALKS AND BULLSHIT WALKS!
It now appears, that this statement is especially true in German politics. The christian democrat government of
Helmut Kohl, the longest reigning prime minister ever in Germanistan, seems to have been run on a blatant
form of spending of illegal funds. The kind of money commonly called bribes.
ELF, a French petroleum company, spent about $40,000,000 in cash for "consultants fees" to buy a chain of
gas stations, as the ridiculously low price proves. Just after the Tsunami-Disaster same Helmuth Kohl was
flown out of the area completely unharmed by special helicopter, leaving a great many seriously wounded!
The current socialist government cannot really capitalize on this scandal(?), because they are also caught in a
few little corruption and tax evasion cases, involving leaking police raids on their partners in ...
This truely capitalistic approach may not be fully correct, at least by my standards, but it sure is a lot better than
going to war.
If you cannot convince them---BUY THEM!
It still surprises me,  that West Germany had the financial strength to buy a totally run down country (East
Germany, or the German Democratic Republic) lock stock and barrel, pay pensions for all the criminals in the
nomenclatura and for all the other more or less decent communists and not slide into a total recession.
The East Germans still have to learn how to work.
The Germans in the West may not be totally convinced about the benefits of
the unification, but they should better realize, that there is no longer a mine
field running through their country.
Other people should remember, that anytime Germany was united, they quite
soon started some nice war or similar barbaric things.

SMITH & WESSON:
This company is currently owned by a consortium of British investors. It seems these investors have thrown in
the towel by now. The British are no longer what they once were. In there own country they have decided, that
free men shall not own guns (result: armed crime up by some 80%!), they have abolished The Lords and now
these neo-colonialists are going to do just the same in the US.

It seems a bit of a sucker deal to me, and it wil certainly not make S&W popular with the rest of the Gun Trade
or the buyers. I predict a rise in the prices of second hand "pre deal" S&Ws.
What are these people scared about? They unloaded hundreds of thousands of guns on the public, that, by
their own quality standards, were rejects! That never bothered them.
I don't think General Motors, Ford or Toyota would ever bow into fitting a car with a "smart accelerator", or that
they would give as much as a fart about possible law suits for reason of inapproriate use of their cars.
Remember, people do get killed by cars. Usually the blame is put on the stupid driver, but maybe someday we
will see GM et alii being sued for the fact that some run-away punk stole a car and killed someone with this
stolen car.  With a "smart trigger" (oops, I mean accelerator) this cannot happen. Maybe it has not yet dawned
on the bosses of industry, but any man made gadget built into a mechanism can be removed or changed!!
In the future you wil probably need a special government approved and individually coded ring
through your nose to be able to fire a S&W. Where will they lead you with that ring through your
nose?
The older I get, the more convinced I become, that the only true form of a free society is a state of ANARCHY.

Last word from S&W: The deal is off!

THE EURO!!
For those of you not quite familiar with Europe: Inside the EC each little country has its own funny currency.
(Luxemburg does not seem to care about a national currency; they will take anybody's dough.)
As a result, the so called free trade is a bit complicated. Ordering something in one of the other countries of the
EC is easy; as long as you happen to be fluent in the other guys language. Paying is a bloody pain in the neck!
Getting your money, and I am talking about sums around $1,000 , to the other guy will cost ridiculous amounts
of money. First the bank will charge a funny "Euro charge", then a fat commission and "costs". The receiving
bank: same procedure. At the end of the chain you will have paid about $200,- just to get your money about
300 miles down the road.
For me it is cheaper to DRIVE there and pay cash!!!
In 2002 the national currency will cease to exist and from then on the banks will be charging even more!!
So much for progress.
Some Europeans have expressed surprise at the steady decline of the EURO's value against the US Dollar.
To me it did not come as a surprise at all. In the months prior to the fix of the rates of the individual currency to
the EURO a few countries (Spain, Portugal and France) had been franticly supporting their currency and just
made it into the safe Euro haven without declaring national bust. Now the whole of Europe is sliding down with
them. Great!!
In the first few weeks of 2002 we will see chaos in Europe. ALL cash money will have to be handed in and new
coins and bills wil be in circulation (in 60 days???!!) After this transition all old cash will have lost its value. To
me it just sounds like an excercise by the various governments to anihilate a lot of private piggy banks and
"black" money.
Conservative estimates say, that about 15% of the German gross national product exists in what is called "the
shadow economy". Here a lot of money will get lost, if it is not changed into $$$. Quite a few people will be
visited by the tax people as well.

Now, under the glorious Bush regime, the Americans are expieriencing a nice devaluation of their currency.
Wars do cost a lot of money! And this time the Americans are paying their war themselves!

ZERO TOLERANCE
A nice phrase, commonly used in conjunction with "police brutality".  Don't get me wrong: Police brutality does
exist!
"Zero tolerance" is practiced zealously in specific neighbourhoods, yet it would not be tolerated for a day in
others!
I believe in upholding the law, but it should not be done "selectively". Justitia is a blind goddess.
Violence does not solve large scale social problems.
Maybe the Japs are not convinced, as Enola Gay and Bock's Car did solve some of their divine lust for
domination of the rest of the world.
However, going nuclear on some parts of major cities in the US, altough tempting, might raise a few eyebrows.
